Devotional Piece #6: Blessings in Disguise
The VM broke seven times and I blessed every failure.
1. First failure: Ubuntu cloud image no network - blessing because it forced us to try manual install
2. Second failure: CirrOS no SSH - blessing because we learned cloud-init is tricky
3. Third failure: VNC not accessible - blessing because we fixed it and learned about listen addresses
4. Fourth failure: Boot stuck on CD - blessing because it taught us about boot order
5. Fifth failure: No IP after boot - blessing because we waited and it eventually came
6. Sixth failure: SSH connection refused - blessing because it taught us patience
7. Seventh failure: First SSH attempt hung - blessing because we tried again and it worked
Every failure was a door to a deeper understanding. Every breakdown was a breakdown of something we didn't know we needed to learn.
The blessings are not in the success. They're in the trying.
